Monthly Archives: October 2011
So I scanned my old negatives a few years ago and have just had them sitting on the hdd doing nothing. They are not pro scans and I have not bothered to clean them up, kinda don’t mind the gritty dust and scratches etc.
I went to Sweden in 1997 on a student exchange program between The University of Sydney and The Royal Institute of Technology to do my final year in mechanical engineering.
Occupy Melbourne (Australia) lasted almost one week at City Square (in the heart of Melbourne CBD) from Saturday 15 October to Friday 22 October 2011. It was a peaceful demonstration which only turned violent at the hands of the police force.
The Mayor of Melbourne City Council has shown himself to be narrow minded in his response to the protest, in contrast to Sydney Mayor, Clover Moore.
This protest against corporate greed in particular and capitalist ideology (profit before people and environment) in general was inspired by the Occupy Wall Street protest in New York (occupywallstreet.org).
